Interactive Sound Sculpture
Mungo Mills, November 2011

The audience is invited to explore Mungo Mills by torchlight as they become part of an interactive, non-linear sonic narrative depicting a fictitious history of the disused industrial wheat silo.  The narrative unfolds through a series of discarded industrial objects which have been augmented with light sensors.  As the audience explores these objects under torchlight, they are reanimated by a number of found-sound sonic interludes.  This piece investigates the interrelationship between light and sound while promoting the playful exploration of our readily-discarded industrial heritage.
