A multi-channel electroacoustic soundscape depicting a distant future where post-industrial city objects have evolved to become organic creatures harmoniously living together in a natural habitat. Inspired by the sound of frogs in Southern Laos and Bernie Krause’s niche hypothesis, the Post Industrial Frogscape uses concatenative synthesis techniques to transform the constantly blurred ‘lo-fi’ noises of city life into uniquely ‘hi-fi’ sonic creatures that can co-exist in a shared environment.
The Post-Industrial Frogscape was recently selected for the 2013 New York City Electroacoustic Festival NYCEMF.
