Teaming up once again with expert Oboist Linda Walsh for an evolution of the computer meets oboe series, Rollerchimp programs interactive graphics and granular synthesis for the 15 minute semi-improvised electroacoustic audio-visual piece, Bluespace.

Bluespace was devised and composed by Linda Walsh during her doctoral investigations into compositional metaphors and augmented oboe technology at the Creativity and Cognition Studios, within the University of Technology Sydney.  The piece is an interactive audio-visual manifestation of Gaston Bachelard’s philosophies on water and the human imagination.  The work uses a further evolution of the fluid software devised by Dr Andrew Johnston for the Encoded physical theatre show and showcases an improved visual effects engine and stronger narrative focus than previous works.
